Arturo Vidal has ramped up tensions ahead of Chile’s Confederations Cup semi-final clash with Portugal, by blasting Seleccao skipper Cristiano Ronaldo.
Portugal claimed seven points in the group stage to secured a final four berth, with Ronaldo, somewhat bizarrely, named man of the match on each occasion.
Back-to-back Copa America champions Chile await in Kazan, with Germany facing Mexico in the other semi-final on Thursday.
Vidal, has hit out at Real Madrid superstar Ronaldo, calling him a “smart ass”, and believes La Roja will meet Jogi Low’s men in the final on Sunday.
Vidal isn't a fan of the Portuguese superstar
"Cristiano is a smart ass!’” Vidal told reporters in Russia.
"For me he does not exist.
"I have already told my Bayern Munich team-mate [and Germany international] Joshua Kimmich that we will meet again in the final!”
Portugal midfielder Pizzi believes Chile are favourites for the clash in the Kazan Arena.
Pizzi said; "Chile are favorites.
They've players of great quality playing in big clubs worldwide, but our goal is to play the final."
