Arsenal's victory over West Ham on Wednesday ended a run of just one win and a draw from their past six Premier League games.
The sequence had left the Gunners hopes of making the Champions League for the 18th consecutive season in real jeopardy.
But Arsenal are now just four points off fourth-placed Manchester City with a game in hand and Walcott believes the win will restore belief to the north Londoners’ dressing room.
“Everyone just needs to remember how good we are as a team, as individuals.” he said.
“It is coming into motion, you saw some signs in the game against Manchester City and more against West Ham and hopefully it is going to go on and on.”
Arsenal's next game is against Crystal Palace next Monday night.
The Gunners go into the fixture having been helped by defeat for Manchester City at Chelsea as well as the midweek draws for Manchester United at home to Everton and Liverpool at home to Bournemouth.
Walcott believes the experience of clinching a top-four place against the odds in the past will now work in Arsenal’s favour.
He added: “As players we are just thinking about the next game.
The manager will have a plan in motion, I'm sure.
“Who knows, we have done it in the past, we have been in this situation before, probably not as bad.
It's the Premier League and that's why it's the best league in the world.
“Who knows who is going to win each game? No-one expected Liverpool to draw, that is the way it is and that is why we love and enjoy playing in this league, it is the best to be involved in.
“You can't really look too much into other teams.
"There are going to be lots of results and ups and downs and it is going to change I'm pretty sure loads of times.
It is exciting for you guys but not for much for us, we want to go out there and perform well.
“We did that against West Ham.
We produced a very professional performance, a more improved performance than [last Sunday’s 2-2 draw against] Man City.
“There was a lot of passion in that game, against West Ham we were very professional and that is very pleasing.”
Arsenal were helped at the Emirates by the withdrawal of Andy Carroll after an hour.
Walcott revealed the Gunners were also delighted at having kept only their second clean sheet in their last six games.
“We knew we had to get the win, we know how important it was.
“But more importantly we haven't been defending well as a whole unit, not keeping clean sheets.
We wanted to get a clean sheet, simple as that.
“We know we are going to score goals so if we get that clean sheet we will win games.
We needed to go back to basics and we did, everyone defended well together and we were very well structured.
“When we do that well, everything else comes into play.”
