ARSENAL ARE READY TO WIN THIS 'MAD LEAGUE'...WALCOTT.

.

Arsenal forward, Theo Walcott believes that the Gunners are better prepared than ever for this season’s “mad” title race - the League they last won in 2004. They are joint top in the League now, having won six consecutive games.

Walcott said: “With the way Leicester have performed, it shows anyone can win it. It’s that mad, you can’t really call any games in the Premier League this year.

“That’s why we love the Premier League and love being involved in it because it is the best league in the world.

“With the squad we have, if we keep players fit, with players coming back, then who knows. You can’t really call the Premier League this year. It’s so unpredictable.

“We’ve been in this situation before. We started off this season better than we have recently. There’s always some sort of blip but hopefully we’re not going to have that this year.

“I don’t look at the table. I genuinely don’t. I feel all we can do is control ourselves and not really hope that other teams get results on our behalf. We can only control ourselves, if we play well, we win games and that’s all we can do.

“I know it’s a really simple and easy thing to say but that’s genuinely the case. There’s no point in wasting energy on other teams when we control that.

“The Burnley match was a game where we had to grind it out. The Swansea game, when we went down to ten men, we tend to lose, to be honest.

“So there’s some things that are slowly getting better. There’s been some good additions coming in. Obviously Xhaka departed but we’re looking strong.”

Regarding their upcoming Champions League game against Ludogrets,

Walcott added: “It’s a fixture we should win, we know we should win that and we’ve got to make sure we’re ready for it. We can’t be too complacent because that’s really important now.

“There are six points, we know that but I’ll be digging into the players and letting the players know that there are no givens in football these days.

“We struggled against Olympiacos in times gone by at home. You would hope the way we are playing football, the goals we’ve scored this season already, I don’t think they’ll look forward to playing us that’s for sure.”
