Super Falcons Star, Asisat Oshoala is our beauty for this week.
Nigeria beat hosts Cameroon 1-0 in a keenly contested final on Saturday, to clinch a record 10th AWCON title.
Oshoala, who finished AWCON 2016 as top scorer with six goals, says they have made up for the last 12 months.
“I’m really very excited about this. It is like a historic moment. I’m happy to be part of this history for my country,” Oshoala told media.
“It is not easy getting to the top and the most important thing is not all about getting to the top but how you maintain it. It shows we are leading in Africa for now, said the Arsenal Ladies' forward.
“The All Africans Games said a lot about Nigeria. We had the opportunity redeeming our image and showed that we are the still champions in Africa. I think we have to take it one game at a time.
The 22-year old added, "At the minute, let’s finish our celebration and then we face the World Cup in the next few years.”
For leading the Super Falcons to their 8th AWCON title in ten appearances, Asisat Oshoala is our beauty of the week.
