CRISTIANO RONALDO DONATES HUGELY TO HELP SAVE 80 DOGS IN PORTUGAL.

Kind hearted Cristiano Ronaldo has helped save 80 dogs at a kennel, reports The Mirror.
Real Madrid superstar Ronaldo sent a signed shirt to Cantinho da Lili, in his homeland Portugal, to be auctioned off.

Expensive treatments, almost $2000 each, along with costly cleaning and maintenance had left the canines facing an uncertain future.
But Ronaldo stepped in after hearing about the centre’s plight when a volunteer contacted his family.

Liliana Santos, 34, who owns the Gouveia based shelter, told Portuguese paper Correrio de Mahna: “We still do not believe it.
“I want to thank Ronaldo from the bottom of my heart. It’s a simple gesture, but very important.”

It is not the first heart-felt gesture from the former Manchester United winger.
Ronaldo donated £5millon to the Nepal earthquake relief effort in 2015, which tragically killed 8,000 people.

He also paid £53,000 for a 10-year-old baby to have an operation and footed the bill for a nine-year-old cancer sufferer's medical treatment.

Ronaldo donated £105,000 to fund a research centre at the hospital which treated his mother for cancer and was named as the world's most charitable athlete by dosomething.org in 2015.

In 2013, he said: "My father always taught me that when you help other people, then God will give you double.

"And that's what has really happened to me. When I have helped other people who are in need, God has helped me more.”
