DAVID LUIZ HAS PRAISED DIEGO COSTA AFTER HIS RETURN.

David Luiz has defended Diego Costa after recent speculation surrounding his future by insisting the rumours came from people who 'talk a lot without knowing anything.'

Costa missed Chelsea's 3-0 victory over Leicester with a reported back injury, but returned last weekend, scoring the opener as the Blues defeated Hull be 2-0.

The Brazilian defender praised his teammate for dealing with the added pressure and lauded the Striker as one of the best players in the world.

"That's his job, to score goals, and he works on that every day," Luiz told French outlet SFR Sport. "He does his job very well. He's a great player who's in fantastic form right now.

"He's playing well, and I'm happy for him because sometimes people talk a lot without knowing anything, and he's had to go through that.

"But it's normal people talk about the best players in the world, Diego is one of them."
Luiz refused to be moved on the reason for his teammate's absence at the King Power Stadium, claiming everything was normal at their Cobham training base.

"I don't know. Things were normal," added the former PSG star. "Everyone has offers, everyone has things to talk about.

He's happy, always wants to play football, that's what's important for me."
