SCHNEIDERLIN AND DEPAY WILL NOT PLAY FOR UNITED AGAIN.

Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay will not play for Manchester United again, according to Jose Mourinho.

Both midfielders have been told they can leave United, with Mourinho refusing to select them while their futures remain unresolved in this month's transfer window.

Everton and West Brom have both bid for Schneiderlin, but have fallen well short of United's £20million valuation of the France midfielder.

Everton Boss, Ronald Koeman is a big fan of Depay, and has in the past, declared his intention to sign the 22-year old forward.

Mourinho said: “Their situation is exactly the same, both of them. I will allow them to leave, the club will allow if the right offer comes. Until this moment, no.

“Is this good? No. Why not? Because I don’t think about them as options. Normally they would be selected tomorrow but they aren’t because we are waiting for something that a few weeks ago seemed 100 per cent, but not now.”

And of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Mourinho said:

“He is selected again,” said Mourinho. “So he can start or he can be on the bench. He is an option for us. That’s the best way to describe it. For many months he wasn’t.

“When we brought him back for the first couple of weeks he wasn’t ready but since then he’s worked very well. He was ill last week but never an injury. His body is fine and he’s training very well.

“My approach is if a player is not playing I cannot stop him leaving if the offer is right. Bastian played some minutes against West Ham and no more than that.

“He wants to stay and he is staying and he is an option. He’s selected tomorrow and at Crystal Palace - for three or four matches.

“He is waiting for his opportunity to play. I think January is a good month for that with so many matches.”

Mourinho has a fully fit squad to choose from and said: “First of all we have zero injuries and out of 27 we have 26 available.

The one who is not available is on holiday in Dubai to play African Cup, which is Eric Bailly.

“It’s an amazing moment for us. Some are tired with the accumulation of matches and two in three days. Some are not. The ones who are not playing a lot with an incredible desire to have a chance to play. I’m going to make some changes.

"All of our players are good players and I trust them all. We play against a very good opponent but I trust my players. If we are in the right frame of mind we can win.”
