65 year-old Dutch coach, Van Gaal has announced his retirement from football, after a lengthy managerial career that saw him win numerous titles, including the Champions
League.
The former Manchester United boss is expected to join the punditry team for a life of early nights and daytime TV.
He revealed that he has decided to quit despite being offered a salary of £45million from China.
His statement:
"I have a lovely pay-off from Manchester United. They still pay my wages every month and that is a nice sum.
