Manchester United Wonderkid, Marcus Rashford, has revealed his admiration for former Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Rashford joined Manchester United youth set-up in 2005 at the age of 7, and saw the Portuguse superstar at close quarters during his formative years at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo left United for Real Madrid in 2009, for a then world record fee of £80m.
Rashford remembers watching Ronaldo train and play, and has revealed how the three time Ballon d'or winner's professionalism and dedication have left a lasting impression on him.
"When Cristiano came to United, he was the one who everyone looked up to, said Rashford.
"The thing that impressed me the most was the fact he was only young when he came into the side and he wanted to be the best player in the side.
"He worked hard every single day, you saw him in the gym every single day, and the result came on the pitch. "He openly wanted to be the best player in the world".
Asked about Ronaldo's seeming selfish attitude, Rashford said, "You have to have an approach like that. All the best players in the world do.
"It's not arrogance or anything like that. "It's the mindset you need to achieve things, the youngster added.
