Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho left Rooney out of his side's 4-1 victory over Champions Leicester, but said that the England Captain is still a very important player for the Club.
Manchester United put up a commanding performance against the champions without their Captain, but Mourinho still believes that the 30-year old will still be very influential on his team.
Asked if Rooney is still part of his plans going forward, Mourinho said, "He's a big player for me, a big player for United, and a big player for this Country".
"I have nothing to say. He's my man. I trust him completely and he is happy at this moment.
"His team won, His United win, that's normal".
Goals by Smalling, Mata, Rashford and Pogba in the first half put United in cruise control, before a second half stunner by Gray gave Leicester City something to cheer about.
