4' GOALLLLLL!!!! WHAT A STRIKE! Asensio hands Real the lead on the night with an absolute stunner. The Spaniard collects the ball 30 yards from goal and hits it with his left foot. His effort drifts towards the top corner and dips at the last second to hit the back of the net. Ter Stegen was flat footed and should have at least made an attempt, but the effort was truly sublime from the 21-year-old.
39' GOALLLLL!!!! BENZEMA FINDS THE NET! It's too easy for Real as Marcelo raids down the flank and sends the ball into the box. Benzema controls before lashing an effort on the half-volley past Ter Stegen from close range. The Barca defence were statuesque.

Goals from Ronaldo's replacement Marco Asensio and Karim Benzema compounded their advantage from the first leg, with Barcelona unable to break the deadlock.
Despite the absence of Ronaldo, Bale, and Isco, Los Blancos deservedly cruised to victory.
