ZLATAN COULD BE SET FOR A COACHING ROLE AT UNITED.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been relaxing in St Tropez as he continues to his comeback from a knee injury.

The striker suffered the problem at the end of last season while playing for Manchester United and is expected to be out of action until around Christmas.

He is currently without a club, with United pondering a fresh deal for the Swede for when he has recovered.

And that could also include a coaching role, with The Independent reporting the Old Trafford hierarchy are discussing the possibility.

Jose Mourinho has confirmed the club are talking to the 35-year-old about extending his stay.

He said: "You know he's injured, he needs time to recover, he's not ready to play.

"It's not something urgent, that we are desperate to have it done or not done, I just think that he was very clear by showing what he did last year was not enough for him.

"He thinks he can do more and wants more at the highest level, so we're having conversations and we're discussing the possibility of him to stay with us for the second part of the season."
