The just retired German Captain whose future has looked so bleak since the arrival of Mourinho at Old Trafford was suprisingly included in the 25-man Manchester squad for the season.
Players born in the year 1995 or later are not included in the list. The likes of Anthony Martial, Marcos Rashford and Timothy Fosu Mensah who are very much part of Mourinho's plans are not included in the squad but are eligible for selection.
