Cristiano Ronaldo was given the Alfredo di Stefano award for La Liga’s best player at Monday night's MARCA Awards.
The Real Madrid Superstar who earlier in the day signed a new deal to keep him at the Bernabeu till 2021 won the Alfredo di Stefano award for La Liga's best player after a 35-goal haul with 11 assists.
On receiving his prize, the 31-year old Portuguese said; [The 2015/16 season] was filled with many emotions with the Champions League and the European Championship.
"I'm very happy. This motivates me to keep working and get better in the next few years."
And on this season's La Liga title, Ronaldo said; It's as competitive as expected, but this is not a sprint, it's a marathon and we are going to fight," he said.
"As always God will help whoever works hardest."
