FORMER URUGUAY STRIKER, SEBASTIAN ABREU SETS WORLD RECORD WITH 28th TRANSFER OF CAREER.


Former Uruguay striker Sebastian Abreu has sealed the 28th transfer of his remarkable career.

Abreu, 40, has played for a staggering 23 clubs in 22 years and has now joined lower league Brazilian side Bangu.

His nomadic career has taken him to no less than nine countries and amass £6.55m in transfer fees according to the Mirror.

He started his career with Defensor in his homeland in 1994. The 40-year old journeyman had spells in Israel, Spain, Paraguay  Greece among other countries.
He has now agreed a move back to Brazil with Bangu.

Abreu, who won 70 caps for his country, played in the 2010 World Cup for his country and won the Copa America the following year.

He has broken a record by joining a 23rd club.
