MANCHESTER UNITED'S COACH JOINS ANOTHER CLUB.

Manchester United confirmed on the Club's official website on Wednesday that Coach Warren Joyce will be leaving Old Trafford to join Wigan on a three-year deal.

The highly-respected figure joined the Reds in 2008 and was initially joint-coach with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before taking sole charge two years later.

He won 14 trophies during his tenure, with United winning the Under-21 Premier League in three of its four years before this summer's switch to an Under-23 format. In the other season, his team were beaten in the final by Chelsea at Old Trafford.

Joyce is also credited with aiding the development of a number of players, like Rashford, Lingard, Januzaj and so many others who have gone on to enjoy successes at Old Trafford and beyond.

Joyce will be replacing Gary Caldwell who was sacked last month at DW Stadium.
His first match in charge will be at home on Saturday, against a Reading side being coached by former United's defender - Jaap Stam.

Wigan Chairman, David Sharpe said; ''He is an exceptional coach who has a reputation within the game for being among the very best at bringing through young players, as his record at Manchester United shows.

"He has a winning mentality which transmits to his players and he has achieved great success in his time at United. It’s the perfect combination."
Wigan sit 22nd in the Championship table.
