WHY I STOPPED GOING OUT ON SATURDAY NIGHTS ... SIR FERGUSON
Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed he made considerable changes to his lifestyle to achieve success at Manchester United.
The Legendary manager spent 27 years at Old Trafford, finally calling time on his remarkable career at the age of 71 in 2013.
The Scot admitted the job took its toll on his health, but he went to tried his best not to let his players know what he passed through.
Ferguson told the SUN: "When I joined United, I was full of energy but, as you get older, your energy wanes; but I did not want the players to see that.
“When I was younger I would have four or five hours’ sleep but when I got into my 60s I needed seven hours.
''I also changed the food I ate. I never went out on a Saturday night anymore, I went home because I was exhausted."
