MATIC HAVE EXPLAINED EXACTLY HOW HE WILL HELP UNITED.

Nemanja Matic believes he can bring "balance" to Manchester after sealing his £40m move from Chelsea.

The Serb links up once again with manager Jose Mourinho, signing a three-year deal with the option of a further 12 months.

"Manchester United is one of the biggest clubs in the world. It was also my ambition to train with Jose," Matic explained.

"I will for sure give my best and show that I deserve to be at this club. I have enough time before the season to prepare myself.

"That position gives balance to the team and allows you to control the game.

Playing in the centre of the pitch you have to know all the time where the ball is. But I always give my best, even more in fact."

Matic follows the footsteps of compatriot and former United great Nemanja Vidic and hopes to emulate his success and earn the honour of sharing the famous song from the fans.

"Vidic was a great player. He had a great career. When I came to the international team he was the captain," Matic points out.

"I will try my best to repeat what he did, I know it will be very hard, but I will try. Hopefully they can sing the same one.

"I have enjoyed my time at Chelsea and would like to thank the club and the fans for their support.

I cannot wait to meet my new team-mates and to start training with them.

"This is a very exciting time for the club and I am looking forward to playing my part in creating more history for this great club."
