MATIC WANTS TO MOVE TO UNITED; ADMITS MOURINHO.

Jose Mourinho has refused to rule out a move for Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic - and hinted the 'photoshopped' picture of the star was real reports the Mirror sport.

Manchester United are confident of closing in on the Serbian international and are expected to complete a switch this week.

The Red Devils are hoping to sign the two-time Premier League winner for £50m - with the Blues reluctantly selling to former boss Mourinho.

Matic was pictured in a United training top on social media - with fans unsure if the image was real or a doctored image.

And Mourinho was unable to confirm the picture's authenticity as he didn't know if Matic had visited the training ground this weekend, but revealed the ace was keen on the move.

Mourinho said: "I'm waiting for news. I know that he wants the move very, very much.

"I think we have a chance but in football until things are official you never know.

"No.31 is a free jersey, I don't know if he was there as I haven't been there today."
Mourinho also dismissed rumours linking

Marouane Fellaini with a move away from Old Trafford this summer.

The Belgian midfielder was strongly linked with a move to Galatasaray, with the Turkish side's sporting director Cenk Ergun claiming he was in negotiations over a move.

But Fellaini was named in the starting line-up for United's friendly against Valerenga on Saturday evening and would score the opening goal in their 3-0 win.

Following the game Mourinho admitted that the 29-year-old is too important to him to let go.

"It's easier for Galatasaray to get me than Marouane," Mourinho said following the game in Oslo.

"He is too important to me. No chance."
Fellaini has been at Old Trafford since 2013, when David Moyes signed him from Everton for £27.5million.

He played 47 times under Mourinho last year as the Red Devils lifted the EFL Cup and Europa League.

New signing Romelu Lukaku also netted in the win in Oslo, as did academy product Scott McTominay.

The Red Devils face Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup on August 8 before kicking off their Premier League campaign at home to West Ham on August 13.
