BOMB SCARE AT PSG'S STADIUM.
French police reportedly uncovered a terror attack on Paris Saint-Germain's stadium this weekend.
It is understood an explosive device was found near the Parc des Princes on Saturday morning, just hours before 50,000 spectators arrived to watch PSG play Bordeaux.
The improvised explosive device is said to have been made up of four gas cylinders soaked in petrol.
"The device was soaked in petrol and operational," a police source told the Mail. "It was found when a local resident of the building in Rue Chanez called the police shortly before 4.30am on Saturday.
"Five suspects were arrested at the scene, including a known radical with links to Islamist movements."
Of the five arrests, one suspect was known to police and was supposed to be under surveillance.
The French interior minister Gerard Collomb suggested the suspect may have used a friend who looked like him to evade those watching him.
He told France Inter radio: "When you watch someone, there is always a nebula, a friend ready to help the one who is on the file."
Collomb added: "This shows that the level of the threat in France is extremely important."
This is not the first time a football stadium in the French capital has been targeted by terrorists.
France were playing Germany at the Stade de France in February 2016 when bombers killed three people.
Police confirmed that two suicide attacks and a bombing took place at just outside of the stadium in Saint-Denis.
A further five locations were targeted on a night of terror that sent the world into mourning.
