CRISTIANO RONALDO SELLS HIS BALLON D'OR FOR €600,000.


Real Madrid star, Ronaldo has sold one of his Ballon d'or prizes for €600,000 at a charity auction.

The incredible gesture was made by the Portugal captain with every penny raised from the single replica going to the Make-A-Wish charity.

The organisation attempts to grant one wish to young children fighting life-threatening conditions.

Ronaldo first won the award with Manchester United in 2008, and then a further three times with Los Blancos in 2013, 2014 and 2016; and he look set to equal Lionel Messi's record (of five) by winning the 2017 edition, having lead Real to La Liga and Champions League double.

The 32-year-old specifically asked for the replica of his 2013 award to be auctioned.

Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola also took part in the event, spending €30,000 to watch a boxing match Manchester.
